6.6 Removing Sailfish

Should you wish to remove Sailfish from your printer, you may do so at any time. This is accomplished by installing a different firmware as per that firmware’s installation and setup procedures. For example, to install “stock” MakerBot firmware (which may or may not be appropriate to a clone printer), run MakerWare and allow it to install official MakerBot firmware. Alternatively, you can change ReplicatorG’s firmware download URL in the “Advanced” section of the “Preferences” menu to,

When installing a different firmware, it is generally a good idea to use that firmware’s method of resetting the printer to “factory defaults”. How that is accomplished will depend upon the firmware with which you replace Sailfish.
